What is Feng Shui?
Feng shui is, quite simply, the gentle manipulation of the environment around us to create balance and harmony.
Traditional Feng Shui, as it is known today, describes an ancient Chinese system perfected over 5,000 years.
This was practised and refined through the centuries and today is a complex art, which nevertheless, has its roots in science. Practitioners study the energy patterns in the electromagnetic spectrum, and the ways this energy interacts with the planet and the individuals living on it.
They take into account time and space through the use of compass bearings and the solar cycle. In this sense, Feng Shui is not 'eastern' or even 'mystical'. It is based on the laws of nature. Indeed, many cultures have their own systems of Feng Shui. The more we live in harmony with the natural cycles of the universe, the more our lives will become harmonious and balanced.
Therefore, Feng Shui is a system that can be used anywhere in the world, at any time, and does not rely on belief or even on positive thinking - it works because it is a systematic way of analysing and
