Geomantic Percussion workshops

A handy technique used by a geomancer is the use of percussion instruments.
The drum, clap sticks, and rattle are all ancient in origin and each has a deeply symbolic meaning.
For example the Crow Creek Sioux Indians regard the drum as being representative of the thunder god, and the accompanying rattle or Gourd shaker signifies the god of lightning

.The clap sticks are known as the most ancient instrument of human kind and their origins can be traced back to Gondwanda land, also known as Australia.
The clap sticks are born from broken sticks found on the ground which are then crafted into highly tuned and resonant instruments.

The aboriginal people play the clap sticks and the didgeridoo and these instruments aid them in accessing dreamtime, where they travel along the song lines
.These instruments resonate deeply within our minds as their very essence has been felt across the land for millennia.

The Percussion workshop will include
  1. How to build you own clap sticks, and which woods to select.
  2. Practical Clap stick techniques.
  3. Harnessing your own inner rhythm.
  4. Tuning in to others and your surroundings.
  5. Focusing and exchanging the rhythmic energy of the cosmos.

  9. Techniques for channeling energy from the cosmos.
